Quote:
New timings :

IXM - BLR - 18.25
BLR - IXM - 19.55

It will be a daily flight and will be operated as IXM-BLR-IXM and will go from IXM to MAA.

Same schedules available in amadeus.net confirming the re-entry of 9W in IXM-BLR route.

So, We got a Convenient return flight for Bangalore now... :dance1: :dance1:

Thanks - Sankar.

Some Tea Aathifying from my side

If the BLR flight is daily, then 9W evening and night flight should be daily. Currently both are 6x weekly with different days.

Mustafa, timings are getting updated in booking system and there are some errors on tuesday's and saturday's timings(both MAA and BLR flights). Wait for one or two days, you will get the clear picture.

I feel it is too quick for us to have a second BLR.

I want the first by SG to get a strong hold in the IXM - BLR route and then we go for the second flight for the same route.

Needless to say, I am happy to see our guesses and wishes (9W will be forced to look beyond MAA for IXM) coming true.

It's still three months to go MK. So no need to worry about it. I feel evening flight could be even better than morning and this is not to say SG morning timings are not good. We need both morning and evening.

We already had 2 daily flights which were successfully operated earlier. So with the current trend, its not a problem on feeding these flights. Now same day return is possible. Start by 9 AM here, you can finish your job in 8 hours and return back with Jet

^^ Thanks to Gilli to share the pics.

The lands that are acquired are now being fenced using this type of fence (now becoming common practice across TN). Me and our Sundar noticed this when we went to spot the AI COK flight but I was able to click this only when I went to spot the BLR flight by SG some days back (the clicking of the flight was anyways not very successful).

I inquired a man who was selling tender coconuts in Mandela nagar bus stop (nearby the ring road opposite to this very site) and he told that that area comes under Ayanpaappaakudi (village or panchayat I am not sure, you guys should find the same name in the government gazette notification of land acquisition for IXM expansion) and they fenced these lands a month back and told that those who don't have pattaa are being acquired (maybe his understanding was that), I managed to give him some explanation on Airport expansion and big aircrafts and left in 15 mins.

I was able to see similar fenced lands here and there in the ring road.

So, land acquisition is going slowly but sure. If corporation hands the land quickly to IXM expansion, I am sure we will be having a big runway soon.

And I hope you guys see some construction materials (stones and sand) nearby the runway in the first picture, I was not sure for what they were, if only somebody could shed more light on that?

^^ Ayan-Papakudi is a part of Avaniyapuram-Southern end (Near Ayyanar Koil Kanmoi once you took a Sunset Pic) I am sure..!!

And Avaniyapuram is till Chinna Udaippu village, which is a ward in AVP. So, Obviously Some parts of Chinna Udaippu may probably come under Ayan Papakudi.

B/w the Construction materials at the side of the runway may be for Strengthening of the existing runway..Just a guess..!!

Booking is partially opened for Jet BLR flight and surprisingly it shows as one stop to HYD. Let's wait for few more days to get more clarity.

^^ If they are doing so, then it means Jet planning to compete with Spice Jet.
